Privacy Policy – Bangbet Tanzania data collection, storage and your rights
This Privacy Policy describes how Bahatisha Basi Tanzania Limited ("Bangbet Tanzania") collects, stores and protects personal data when you use our website and services. It applies to all accounts registered under Tanzania Gaming Board Licence No. SBI000000049 and Licence No. OCL000000028. Last updated: January 2026.
What data we collect
We collect only what is required to operate a licensed gambling service and comply with Tanzania Gaming Board rules. This includes account data (name, date of birth, email, phone, address), KYC documents (national ID or passport, selfie, proof of address), financial data (mobile money numbers, transaction history, wallet balance), and technical data (IP address, device type, session logs). We do not collect data beyond these purposes.

How we use your data
Your data is used to verify your identity, process deposits and withdrawals, detect fraud, comply with TGB reporting obligations, and send account notifications. We do not sell your data to third parties. We share data only with our KYC verification provider and mobile money processors (Vodacom, Tigo, Airtel, HaloPesa) under contractual data protection agreements. Aggregated, anonymised data may be used for internal analytics.
How long we keep it
Account and transaction records are kept for 5 years after account closure, as required by Tanzania Gaming Board regulations. KYC documents are retained for the same period. Technical logs are deleted after 12 months. If you request account deletion, all non-mandatory records are removed within 30 days; records required by law remain for the statutory period.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of non-mandatory data, and withdraw marketing consent at any time. To exercise any right, email support@bangbettanzania.com with subject "Data request – [your username]". We respond within 14 days. You may also file a complaint with the Tanzania Gaming Board at tgb.go.tz if you believe your data has been mishandled.
Cookies
We use first-party session cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels on account pages. You can block cookies in your browser settings; doing so will prevent login from working. A cookie consent notice appears on your first visit.
Security and contact
All data is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.2 or higher. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. KYC documents are stored on encrypted servers with access restricted to authorised compliance staff.
